Singer, wordsmith, poet and yodeller Bobby, aka BK13, first met polymath-renascence-artist-bass player-musical Swiss army knife, Spanna at Art school in the North East before moving to London and forming art punk, synth driven electro groove band PLAKKA, a regular installment on the East London gig and party scene at the end of the noughties. DJ, producer, label owner, artist, sound designer, video game producer and Guitarist Johnny Ven’s first band, Idiot Joy, were erratic and random but enjoyed success on the festival scene, playing Glastonbury and supporting space rock overlords Hawkwind.
Dave B‘s first musical adventure was as drummer for Magoo, whose pedigree as lo-fi Indie pioneers is well documented. Championed by John Peel and recording several Peel sessions, they released two albums on Glasgow label Chemical Underground. Dave and Johnny first met in 2000 playing together in punk-funk groovers, Junkateer. In 2014 they collided with BK13 and Spanna to form Cowboy Flying Saucer.
